The wide development of Internet at schools and public places (Internet clubs) requires the development of self-regulation mechanisms, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizade said during the round table devoted to the Day of Internet Security.

The wide development of Internet at schools and public places (Internet clubs) requires the development of self-regulation mechanisms, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizade said during the round table devoted to the Day of Internet Security.

He said that today the main issue on the agenda is to protect children and adolescents from the negative impact of the virtual environment, which can lead to reality  

Unfortunately, the Internet today is filled with content of a pornographic nature from. One can not often protect adolescents from watching it, he said.


Azerbaijan joined the Convention on Cybercrime, which also provides for the implementation of measures to prevent these incidents.
