Azerbaijan, Baku, May 4 / Trend H. Valiyev /
Azerbaijan is combating provocative and extremist Internet resources, Deputy Communications and IT Minister Elmir Velizadeh said during a international conference on cyber security.
The conference is conducted by the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry, the Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijani President and the Romanian Embassy of Romania (NATO embassy-coordinator in Azerbaijan).
He said such resources must be terminated after the formal appeal of the ministry.
"It should not be perceived as if Azerbaijan uses the techniques for limiting the access to resources," he said. All the work is carried out within the law. It is typical for all countries. For example, stolen cars are searched in some countries through the Internet ads. It testifies to the existence of a certain control over the content posted on the Internet."
The information can be distributed freely if it is true, not provocative, not extremist and does not stir up religious, racial strife.
Unfortunately, some organizations disseminate information about bypass security systems by using special tools. Those who are purposefully engaged in disseminating this information must be aware that these tools can also be used for illegal purposes.
