The Azerbaijani Bakcell mobile operator examines the market to study mobile banking services demand, Bakcell Chief executive Director Richard Shearer said.
He said the company intends to include the service in its development strategy.
"We work with a number of banks to introduce mobile banking services," he said. "We intend to expand it in future."
Mobile banking services allow users to check their account online around the clock, draw reports on account transactions, pay bills for electricity, mobile and fixed communications, and Internet services, and to transfer money from card to card, to pay to buy an electronic ticket and to receive SMS notifications on each transaction.
Today, mobile banking services are rendered by the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Respublika bank, AGBank, AtaBank, Bank of Azerbaijan, Bank Standard, Nikoil Bank, Parabank, Rabitabank and XalqBank
