Speed of incoming traffic reaches 15 Gbit/s in Azerbaijan

The speed of incoming Internet traffic in the network of the primary Azerbaijani provider Delta Telecom has reached 15 Gbit/s, the company reported.

Over the past month, the volume of incoming traffic has increased up to 2.5 Gbit/s.

The dynamics of the network load vary depending on the time of day and the largest amount of the network load occurs at daytime. At night, the figure falls to 3 Gbit/s.

According to Delta Telecom statistics, the volume of outgoing traffic is 4 Gbit/s. The figure falls to 1 Gbps at night.

At present, the total capacity of the AzNET segment exceeds 45 Gbit/s.
Delta Telecom traffic is divided among 26 telecommunications operators.

As of May 23, the most traffic delivered to end users fell to the public Internet service provider BakinterNet (22.09 percent), Uninet (trademark Stream) (over 14.57 percent), and Azeronline (10.94 percent).

Other providers include: Stellford - 9.85 percent, Ultel - 5.57 percent, Superonline - 7.18 percent, DATAPlus - 7.70 percent, ADaNet - 3.48 percent, Information and Computing Center of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry - 0.82 percent, Aztelekom - 3.15 percent, AzStarNet - 2.92 percent, AzEuroTel - 2.18 percent, SMART - 2.16 percent, TransEuroCom - 1.04 percent, Avirtel - 1.43 percent, Nakhchivan - 0.93 percent, Caspel - 0.74 percent, DataCell - 0.85 percent, AzNET - 1.07 percent, IntraNS - 0.35 percent , Bakcell - 0.37 percent, Castel - 0.11 percent, Azerfon - 0 percent, AzIntex - 0.27 percent, Azerin - 0.08 percent and QlobalNet - 0.12 percent.
