Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 8 / Trend H.Valiyev /
The Azerbaijani Communications Administration reached a preliminary agreement with a number of members of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) on the use of simultaneous audio broadcasting radio frequency networks in the medium and long wave (MW / LW), the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry's State Radio Frequencies Department told Trend.
There was reached a preliminary agreement on coordination of frequency assignments on 891 kHz, 1530 kHz, 1557 kHz and 1593 kHz, which should be coordinated so that the transmitters used by one state is not caused interference to broadcasting in another country.
This issue will be again discussed during the 7th meeting of the working group on the study of Radio Frequency Networks Use of RCC Member-Countries' Simultaneous Audio Broadcast in MW/ LW range, to be held in Baku on Oct.11-14.
Previously, the RCC Commission on Satellite Communications, TV and Sound Broadcasting recommended that RCC member states developed criteria for redistribution of the simultaneous audio broadcasting radio frequency networks in the medium and long wave.
The Working Group was tasked to undertake extensive work to determine the technical and financial criteria for their coordination.
The most acceptable criteria of coordination is to reduce the power transmission devices and change the direction of the antennas.
