In July 2012, about 6000 users clicked on to the services of the www.icazeler.gov.az portal created in Azerbaijan to inform them about licensing documents for entrepreneurship activities, the Azerbaijan Economic Development Ministry said on Wednesday.

'The portal is mainly visited by users from the U.S., UK, France, Japan, Austria, Russia, South Korea, Turkey and Georgia. Overall, over 24,000 users have visited the portal since the start of its launch', the statement said.

The Ministry of Economic Development expects manifestation of great interest to this electronic resource.

'In July, drafts of 26 legislative acts of central bodies of executive power have been posted on this portal', the statement said.

The portal is a single source of information for businessmen which informs what licencing documents and procedures for the obtaining and submission of same are needed to start or expand business.

A section of services has been created on the portal that will post draft legislation acts relating to the field of entrepreneurship developed by central and local executive authorities.

Creation of the portal is provided by the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev 'On some issues related to licensing and permit system required to do certain types of entrepreneurial activity'.
