Kazakh Transport Minister and Microsoft International to cooperate in IT field

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan and Microsoft International signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of information technology, the ministry stated on Thursday.

"The document provides for cooperation between the parties in the use of information technology in the public and education sectors, as well as in the fields of health and private business. For example, the parties will cooperate for the development of the concept of 'open government', the center of innovation and business incubation, and increasing security on the Internet, " the statement says.

As for the educational sector, Microsoft is going to expand cooperation in its 'Partnership for Education' programme, including the professional development of teachers, curriculum creation and promotion of programmes of innovative schools. The company also offers IT-Academy program for training students in the field of information technologies.
