Azerbaijani mobile operator expects slight increase in 2013 revenue

As of late 2013 the revenue of Azerbaijani mobile operator LLC Azercell Telecom is projected at 460 million manats, Director of Administration and Management Department of Azercell Namig Hajiyev said at a press conference on Friday.

According to him, last year the mobile operator's revenue amounted to 455 million manats.

Investments of the company in 2013 are expected to reach 85 million manats.

"The investments are mainly directed towards network development," Hajiyev said.

The head of Azercell Marketing Department Gahraman Kazimov, said that since early 2013, Azercell Telecom increased the number of base stations to 483 and in general, the installation of 1000 new stations is planned this year. As a result, the total number of stations will exceed 4.1 million. Of these, some 250 base stations account for ones supporting network LTE.
