SpaceX unveils date of first Turkmen communications satellite launch

The US-based company, SpaceX will launch the first communications satellite of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Alem on April 24.
SpaceX said that the satellite would be put into orbit with help of the Falcon 9 carrier rocket.
French Thales Alenia Space has constructed Turkmenistan's first satellite and according to reports made earlier, it will be launched from Cape Canaveral.
Turkmen Alem will sport three antennas, making it possible to broadcast to a part of Europe, Africa and Asia. It will also allow Turkmenistan to make a significant breakthrough in telecommunications, as well as the Internet, mobile communications.
Turkmenistan's first satellite can also be utilized to execute tasks in the forefront of the national economy such as monitoring agricultural areas from space as well as to conduct research needed for the oil and gas industry, and to carry out environmental monitoring.
