Azerbaijan will consider possibility of using mobile robots in activity of various state agencies, Tofig Babayev, director of the Regional Information Technologies Academy (RITA), told Trend.
Azerbaijan may cooperate with Belarus in this matter, as Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus developed the mentioned mobile robots that can be used in agriculture sector.
Babayev added that the issues of cooperation in agriculture and as part of the project of the optimal use of land resources will be discussed at the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus scientific community within the state program on scientific and technical cooperation of the sides, to be held in Baku in October.
Mobile robots are capable of extinguishing forest fires, cultivating agricultural lands and examining hazardous facilities.
