The projects implemented in the Azerbaijan’s High Tech Park of the National Academy of Sciences will be able to obtain financing from the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), Vugar Babayev, head of the High Tech Park, told Trend.
He said the agreement on cooperation with the ICD was reached last week in Jeddah at the 42nd meeting of the board of governors of the Islamic Development Bank.
“The ICD is one of the institutions of the Islamic Development Bank. Samir Taghiyev, ICD senior regional manager for CIS and Europe countries, contributed to establishing a dialogue with this organization,” Babayev said.
“In Jeddah, we signed the first framework document on cooperation with the ICD. This agreement will allow us sending a part of the projects, we are implementing at the High Tech Park, to the ICD. In turn, the ICD will assess these projects for financing.”
The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector was created in 1999 and has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2003.
