Work has been started to construct an alternative television tower in Baku, a source in Azerbaijan’s telecommunications market told Trend.
The height of the new TV tower will reach 140 meters, according to the source.
“According to the preliminary data, the TV tower can be commissioned by the beginning of 2018.”
Additional funding, which is required for the project, will be used to purchase broadcast equipment, set up backup broadcast network, etc.
The new TV tower will be based in the Narimanov district and linked to the Baku TV Tower.
