Azerbaijani mobile operator Bakcell has introduced a new solution combining mobile and fixed communication, a source in the country’s telecommunications market told Trend.
The solution helps Bakcell to connect its corporate clients to fixed internet.
“The service is being promoted jointly with the main operator Azertelecom. The service was test-launched last year; however, its active promotion was started this year. Currently, the service is available only to corporate clients of Bakcell.”
The source has earlier said that provision of fixed internet access is among the future plans of many mobile operators. Here an important component is the availability of high-speed optical infrastructure.
