By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

Braille Teach interactive devices intended for teaching Braille alphabet, developed by Azerbaijani IT company BioniX Tech Inc., are ready for serial production, Rashid Aliyev, founder of the IT company, told Trend Oct. 6.

He said it is necessary to attract investments for mass production, but this is difficult now since entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan don’t show any interest in financing the project.

“We now have a finished product,” Aliyev said. “There is an offer from the US regarding the project. However, the foreign investor’s requirement is that all the work be done in the US, and this requires funds, since staying in the US for about a month can cost about $3,000.”

The Braille Teach devices are designed for visually impaired children. Using these devices it is possible to study the Braille alphabet in a simple and convenient way. The devices support five languages – Azerbaijani, Russian, English, Turkish and Ukrainian.

Braille Teach has voice guidance: it is enough for a child to press the needed button, for example, the combination of the letter “A”, and the device will voice it. Braille Teach has seven games, which make it easier to learn the Braille alphabet.
