Mobile operator of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan launches roaming service

Naxtel 4G LLC, the mobile operator of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, has launched roaming services in Georgia, a source in the company told Trend Nov. 6.

Georgia is the first foreign country where subscribers of Naxtel 4G LLC can use the operator’s services. The network of Georgia’s Geocell mobile operator is used for rendering roaming services.

Outgoing calls to Azerbaijan and Georgia’s other mobile operator numbers will cost 0.83 manats per minute, outgoing calls in other directions will cost 1.56 manats per minute. One minute of all incoming calls will cost 0.34 manats, and sending one SMS in all directions will cost 0.104 manats.

“The number of countries where roaming services will be available for subscribers of Naxtel 4G LLC will gradually grow,” the source noted.

Naxtel 4G provides GSM services, also acting as a low cost carrier.

The operator’s network supports the LTE standard. The number of the operator’s base stations in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic reaches 98.
