MyVideo Internet platform plans to introduce a national TV channel audience measurement system in IPTV and OTT platforms in 2018, Ali Aliyev, MyVideo project manager, told Trend.
Aliyev added that the coming year will be marked by the growth of penetration of high-speed Internet, which stimulates the development of IPTV and OTT platforms.
"The next year will also be the starting point in the telemetry system,” he said. “This trend is successfully practiced in many countries and contributes to an increase in advertising revenues of TV channels.”
“The innovation will provide quantitative analysis of TV viewing and alternative ratings on TV channels that will be of interest to every market player, namely, TV channels, TV program makers, advertisers, advertising agencies and so on," Aliyev said.
Moreover, Aliyev said that among the plans are also new directions. For example, together with creators of computer games and KATV1 cable television operator, it is planned to promote cybersport in Azerbaijan.
