The number of users of mobile operators amounted to 77.8 million people in Turkey in 2017, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority of Turkey (ICTA) told Trend Apr. 2.
ICTA said that in 2017, the number of 4.5G users stood at 64.558 million.
Total number of mobile internet users was 56.116 million, while the number of 4.5G users stood at 455,855, ICTA added.
The Information and Communication Technologies Authority also said that in 2017, the market share of Avea mobile operator increased by 0.4 percent and stood at 27.4 percent, the share of Vodafone rose by 0.2 percent and stood at 35 percent, and the share of Turkcell decreased by 0.6 percent to 37.6 percent.
Forty-seven mobile operators have been registered in Turkey, and only three of them – Avea, Vodafone and Turkcell – operate today.
