Leading cryptocurrency and blockchain experts will gather in Baku to discuss the issues of legal regulation of the segment, head of the representative office of Buroka Technologies company in Azerbaijan Sabina Mammadli told Trend April 25.
“The event is being organized on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Banks Association and Buroka company acts as a partner of the conference, to be held May 17-18,” she said.
"The most important topics related to the regulation of the cryptocurrency market and blockchain technology will be touched upon at the conference,” Mammadli said. “The taxation issue is also on the agenda. We invited the leading international experts, including Bitcoin Embassy Georgia founder Alex Sudadze, representatives of Buroka Technologies’ Bucharest office and others."
As for registration of Buroka Technologies company in Azerbaijan as a cryptobroker, Mammadli said that this issue still remains unresolved due to the lack of legal regulation.
“The documents for the company's registration in the country have already been submitted,” Mammadli said earlier. “Regulatory issues that will be required for the company’s further activity in the country are being considered.”
Buroka Technologies will mainly trade five crypto-currencies in Azerbaijan - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Dash and Litecoin.
Buroka Technologies has contracts with London’s crypto-currency exchanges like Kraken and Bitstamp.
The company's goal is to develop crypto-brokering in Azerbaijan so that it would be easier for people to buy crypto-currency in the country, rather than outside the country.
