Kenyan radio channels now available via Azerbaijan's satellite

Four radio channels of Kenya - Program 1, Classic 105 FM Kenya, Radio Jambo and East FM - are now broadcasted via the Azerbaijani satellite Azerspace / Africasat-1a, Flysat portal, which publishes satellite frequency tables, reported.

The radio channels are available in open broadcast DVB-S at a frequency of 4,079 MHz (speed: 999, polarization - H, FEC - 2/3).

The total number of TV and radio channels broadcast via the Azerbaijani satellite exceeds 100. The satellite is located in orbital position at 46 degrees east longitude.

The first communication satellite Azerspace / Africasat-1a was launched into geostationary orbit at 46 degrees East longitude on February 8, 2013. The satellite was also launched from the Kuru space base by Arianespace Company. The servicing zone of Azerspace-1 includes countries of Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.
