Baku, Azerbaijan, June 1

By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:

Kapital Bank OJSC has started to issue free mobile e-signatures to its customers, the bank told Trend June 1.

The advantage of the project is the optimization of the bank's services offered to clients and simplification of the current procedures. In addition, the certification of documents in electronic form will allow the bank to reduce the use of paper, to speed up the process of processing client requests and to expand the possibilities of digital banking.

After the certificate is issued, a mobile number specified by the client will receive an SMS message with a PIN code, which will be active for the next three years. An important component of the mobile e-signature certificate is that it is not bound to operators’ SIM cards.

The presentation of the product was held on May 7 together with the Information and Computer Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan.

As previously reported, by the end of the year, the International Bank of Azerbaijan and NIKOIL Bank will also offer their customers mobile e-signature services. Meanwhile, this issue is under consideration by the banks and is the subject of discussion with the provider of e-signature certification services.

(1.7 AZN = 1 USD on June 1)
