Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 19
By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:
Azerbaijani company AZDynamics has frozen a project for developing a hybrid unmanned vehicle with an extended autonomous flight duration, the company told Trend.
According to the company, the work has been suspended due to lack of funding.
"It is possible that the project will be resumed as soon as the necessary funds are received," the company said.
The hybrid drone was planned to be equipped with both rechargeable batteries and an internal combustion engine, which would increase the duration of its autonomous flight from 25 minutes to two hours.
Increase in the autonomous flight duration of the drone would make the product more attractive to customers and facilitate the growth of its export to other countries.
The hybrid drone can be adapted for use in agriculture, for example, for processing land with reagents.
Thanks to automatic flight mode there is no need to use a remote controller for the drone. It is sufficient to indicate the trajectory and coordinates of the terrain on the map.
