The mobile commerce and rewards platform BEAM Wallet will open a representative office in Azerbaijan, a source familiar with the matter told Trend Dec. 11.
The mobile platform is developing in the European market, in Australia and Dubai.
“In the first quarter of next year, the company also plans to enter the Azerbaijani market, where, as it is envisaged, its representative office will operate,” the source noted.
The BEAM Wallet platform will act as an integrator uniting various merchants, which will allow consumers to receive discounts when purchasing goods and services.
“For example, a customer, having made a purchase at a supermarket, will be able to receive a discount at a clothing store, where he/she will be able to get a part of the amount back when buying goods,” the source said. “The customer can again use these funds to buy food. That is, BEAM Wallet platform specializes in creating a relationship between supermarkets and merchants.”
In order to implement transactions, BEAM Wallet will develop partnership relations with local mobile wallets, banks and merchants, the source noted. Retail stores, cafes, restaurants, internet service providers, etc. can play the role of merchants, the source said.
“BEAM Wallet will unite all parties into a single platform and provide them with the opportunity to implement their loyalty programs, and this ultimately benefits all,” the source added.
