In 2018, the activity of Facebook users in Azerbaijan increased by 23.4 percent, Trend reports referring to the Global Stats.
As of Jan. 1, 2019, Facebook’s share in the Azerbaijani social media market was 45.4 percent, which is 27.3 percent more compared to 2017. Facebook is the most popular social network in the country.
The second most popular social network was Youtube, though the activity of Youtube users decreased by 52.5 percent in 2018.
Youtube's share in the Azerbaijani market in 2018 was 16.3 percent, which is 42.4 percent less compared to 2017.
The activity of Twitter users increased by 40 percent in 2018. This social network ranked third with a market share of 11 percent as of Jan. 1, 2019, which is 21.8 percent less compared to 2017.
Twitter is followed by Pinterest – 9.4 percent, Instagram – 7.17 percent, Google+ – 6.69 percent, VKontakte - 2.02 percent.
