The Teleradio Production Association is starting the reconstruction of Baku-Guba radio-relay line, Trend reports, referring to a source of Azerbaijan’s television and radio broadcasting market.
The source stated that the fulfillment of work on complete reconstruction is expected this year.
Currently, the necessary equipment is being purchased and reconstruction work will be implemented as part of the creation of a backup digital TV network in Guba district which will ensure uninterrupted broadcasting in case of unforeseen circumstances.
“In general, plans of the production association include the development of backup transmitters throughout the country," said a source.
Work on the organization of backup digital network provides a digitization of transmitters that were previously used for telecasting of analog broadcasting.
Analog transmitters are digitized as far as possible and necessary equipment is purchased for this purpose. Backup digital network is laid from Baku in the South and West direction at the moment.
