Possibilities for using blockchain technology are being explored in Azerbaijan, and the work in this direction is also being held by the Blockchain Azerbaijan Center, an expert in the field of ICT, Chairman of the Azerbaijan ICT Forum Osman Gunduz told Trend.
The expert considers it appropriate to study this technology and identify its useful aspects.
“Our representatives are participating in blockchain technology events in Moscow,” he said. “We would like to track the trends in this area in neighboring countries and around the world. Many countries are cautious on about the blockchain technology and its application in various industries.”
He noted that the main task of the Blockchain Azerbaijan Center is to study this experience.
“This technology is most applicable in the areas related to registries and bases,” he said. “In Azerbaijan, the Central Bank, the State Committee for Property Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and the ASAN Service are trying to carry out the work to introduce the blockchain technology. This system may be useful for these structures, and we are cooperating with them.”
“The Ministry of Justice, the Central Bank, the State Committee for Property Affairs have made the most progress in this area,” he noted. “The Central Bank is taking real steps in this direction and has already created an appropriate consortium and attracted international IT companies.”
