A project related to the transition to fiber optic services (Fiber Optic) will allow increasing the number of broadband and fiber-optic internet users in Baku, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Internet Forum Osman Gunduz told Trend.
Gunduz said that this is a major project, the successful implementation of which may greatly improve the quality of internet.
Work on transition to fiber optic services is carried out by Baktelecom company, which won the tender, the chairman noted.
“I can’t say with confidence that this company will do the job, however, if the company succeeds, the quality of the internet in Baku will improve a lot,” Gunduz added.
