Foreign citizens spent 212 million manat ($124.7 million) through bank cards in Azerbaijan from January through March 2020, which is 21.9 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, said the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of Azerbaijan, Trend reports on April 29.
According to the report, foreign citizens spent 53.9 million manat ($31.7 million) in Azerbaijan by bank cards in March 2020, which is 26 percent less compared to February 2020, and 45 percent less compared to February 2019.
In 2019, foreign citizens spent over 1.25 billion manat ($735.2 million) using bank cards in Azerbaijan, which is 1.8 percent less compared to 2018.
Foreign citizens spent 1.27 billion manat ($747 million) via bank cards in Azerbaijan in 2018.
