Revenues of Azerbaijani Baku Telephone Communications Production Association (Baktelecom), operating under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, amounted to 69.6 million manat ($40.9 million) in 2019, which is 1.5 percent less compared to the indicators of 2018 - 70.7 million manat ($41.5 million), Trend reports citing the company’s financial report.
According to the report, the company's main operating income amounted to 68.8 million manat ($40.4 million) in 2019, which is 1.2 percent less compared to the indicators for 2018 worth 69.6 million manat ($40.9 million).
Baktelecom's other operating income amounted to 798,000 manat ($469,411) in 2019, which is 22.1 percent less compared to 2018.
In 2019, the company’s expenses decreased by 20.2 percent compared to 2018, and amounted to 51.5 million manat ($30.2 million).
The Baku Telephone Communications Production Association LLC has been operating since 1997 in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan, the current legislation on communications and enterprises, and the charter of the enterprise No. 1849, which is registered by the Ministry of Justice on March 10, 1997.
On May 10, 2001, the first state-owned internet provider, Bakinternet, was created at Baktelecom LLC. On July 19, 2017, the company underwent a restructuring procedure and was renamed into Baku Telephone Communications Limited Liability Company (LLC).
