The volume of income of Azerbaijan’s mobile operators from January through June 2020 amounted to 1 billion manat ($588.2 million), Trend reports referring to the report of the State Statistical Committee.
The income of the mobile communications sector of the country increased by 4.3 percent in the first half of 2020, compared to the first half of 2019.
The value of information and communication services in real terms increased by 4.4 percent over the year.
Seventy-two percent of the total volume of information and communication services were provided to the population. At the same time, 80 percent of total revenues in the sector accounted for non-state enterprises.
According to the report, 42 percent or 438.2 million manat ($257.7 million) of revenues from services was formed in the field of mobile telephony.
In 2019, information and communication services worth over 2 billion manat ($1.1 billion) were provided to the population and organizations in Azerbaijan, which is 15.9 percent more compared to 2018.
