AzEduNet LLC, the operator of the Azerbaijani educational network, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Bakcell LLC, provided the institutions selected for participation in its project, with unlimited access to network resources and technical support services, Director of the AzEduNet Natiq Yahyayev told Trend.
“The project was successfully launched in September 2019, and 700 educational institutions located in remote villages of our country received access to the internet, as well as other network services,” Yahyayev noted.
Within this cooperation, Bakcell provided free of charge cellular data transmission and mobile modems (Data-cards) to educational institutions for a period of three years, he said.
The director said that the main goal of this project is the provision of 700 educational institutions located in remote villages with access to the internet, as well as to the network services of the AzEduNet.
“One of the important factors contributing to the successful implementation of the concept of modern education is the provision of educational institutions with a network infrastructure. In this regard, the expansion of the AzEduNet, which is the country's largest internal educational network, providing ample opportunities for the use of innovative mechanisms in the educational process, is of great importance," Yahyayev added.
"AzEduNet is intensively working to provide internet and intranet services, and also supports electronic educational resources and management systems in educational institutions,” he said.
A cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, Bakcell LLC and AzEduNet LLC on March 5, 2019.
