Azerbaijan's Azercosmos Open Joint Stock Company's revenue from the export of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to $ 30.9 million from January through September of 2020, which is 2 percent more than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the export review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of Azerbaijan.
Azercosmos' profit from exporting services accounted for 89 percent of the total revenue of the space operator, the report says.
In the reporting period, services were provided to 30 countries, including the UK, USA, France, Malaysia, and the UAE. According to the data, In September 2020, Azercosmos exported services to 11 countries in the amount of $522,000.
Azercosmos operates two communication satellites-Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, as well as Azersky low-orbit satellite. The company's revenue from the export of satellite and telecommunications services in 2019 amounted to $43.4 million, which is 70 percent more than in the same period of 2018.
