Azerbaijan expects increasing of the coverage of electronic signatures in the Internet and mobile banking system up to 100 percent, Trend reports.
The growth is envisioned in the concept and forecast indicators of the socio-economic development of the country for 2021 and the subsequent 3 years, included in the budget package for the next year.
According to the data, it’s also provided to implement measures to bring legal and regulatory requirements in the field of financial services in line with international best practices.
As reported, due to the measures, it’s planned to more accelerate the development of digital payment systems and mobile banking applications, further development of the infrastructure of high-speed and contactless payments.
From January through November 2020, the Azerbaijani National Center for Certification Services has registered 11,971 owners of electronic signature (e-signature). Of them, 4,815 e-signature owners are state bodies; 4,317 - legal entities and entrepreneurs, and 2,839 - individuals.
