Number of blocked 'pests' in Azerbaijani AzStateNet increases

The number of blocked ‘pests’ in the Azerbaijani AzStateNet network was 4,843 in December 2020, which is 12.6 percent more compared to November 2020, Trend reports.

This is stated in the report of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) under the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Special State Security Service of Azerbaijan.

The number of pests blocked based on URLs was 1,801, the centralized anti-virus system (CAS) - about 2,138, and the so-called sandbox (a specially isolated environment for the safe execution of computer programs) – 2,915, the report said.

According to the report, the number of blocked pests based on URL addresses in the AzStateNet network amounted to more than 27,852, CAS - about 30,860, ‘sandbox’ - about 20,202.

By late 2019, in the AzStateNet network, the number of blocked "pests" based on URL addresses amounted to more than 40,000, CAS - about 28,371, and CAS sandbox - about 700.
