The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan announces a competition for the distribution of television and radio frequencies and the issuance of individual licenses in the field of television and radio broadcasting, Trend reports citing the press service of the ministry.
The organizer of the competition is the Interdepartmental Coordination Commission to improve and increase the efficiency of information activities and data transmission of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
Legal entities registered in accordance with the procedure established by law on the territory of Uzbekistan, the constituent documents of which provide for activities in the field of mass media, are allowed to participate in the competition.
Also, legal entities that have submitted an application within the prescribed period and duly completed the documents in accordance with the regulations on the procedure for the competitive distribution of radio frequencies and the issuance of individual licenses in the field of television and radio broadcasting.
At the same time, license applicants must meet the requirements of the legislation in the field of mass media.
To participate in the competition, the license applicant submits an application in the prescribed form. The application should be accompanied by:
- a document confirming that the license applicant has paid the fee for the consideration of bids established by law;
- a document confirming that the license applicant has paid a deposit equal to the annual amount of the state duty for the issuance of a license for the design, construction, operation and provision of services for distribution (broadcast) networks of television and radio broadcasts;
- documents (diplomas, certificates) confirming the qualifications of employees directly related to the process of providing services for the distribution of television and radio programs;
- a detailed broadcasting concept, including creative, technical and financial proposals, as well as the planned broadcasting network of TV and radio programs, broadcasting language, broadcasting volumes of its own programs and competitive obligations;
- the conclusion of the relevant authorities on the compliance of broadcasting facilities with the requirements of sanitary, fire regulations and security measures for the facility;
- documents confirming the right to use equipment intended for organizing television and radio broadcasting, if it belongs to another person (lease agreement, etc.).
Packages of documents are submitted in five copies. The financial proposal for payment for obtaining a license is submitted separately in one copy, in a separate sealed envelope.
The competition will take place: March 11, 2021
