Bio-smart stop pavilion (a closed waiting area located next to a bus station or a stop, which can have a wide range in design and functions), installed near the Heydar Aliyev Center, is the development of the resident of the High Technologies Park - RD Smart company, the Azerbaijan Innovation Agency told Trend.

“The smart stop is being charged through solar energy,” the agency said.

"Moreover, the innovative capabilities of pavilion allow every ten minutes during ten seconds to spray a special disinfectant solution that does not contain substances harmful to the human health to prevent the spread of coronavirus," the Agency stressed. “A hand disinfection dispenser has been installed at the bus stop.”

"The smart stop has been equipped with free WiFi (internet), four inputs for charging mobile devices, USB ports, two security cameras, and a vending machine for selling water,” the agency said. “The bus schedule is displayed on a special panel for the convenience of passengers. There is also a payment terminal for topping up BakiKart transport cards in the pavilion.”

“Moreover, the Innovation Agency is currently supporting RD Smart in the production of various types of high-tech products," the agency added. “RD Smart plans to produce 25 types of high-tech products with high export potential.”

"We would like to stress that all technological products of RD Smart are fully ready for integration into the network of Smart City projects," the agency added.

There were the first samples of "smart" solutions, namely, a "smart" bus stop, smart seats, and lighting poles, developed by RD Smart company, in the Ismayilli district of Azerbaijan in 2020.
