Azerbaijan is actively involved in preparation of legal framework for the use of artificial intelligence (AI), a source in the Information Society – Action against Crime Directorate under the Council of Europe told Trend this week.
The Directorate has set up a special working group to develop a legal framework for the use of AI, which includes Azerbaijan. The processes of accelerating the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in digital management in Azerbaijan were studied, new challenges and future prospects of the field’s development were determined within a three-day international conference held this week.
Meanwhile, the Computer Incident Response Team (CERT) under the Special Communications and Information Security State Agency of Azerbaijan's Special State Protection Service has presented the first national anti-virus software.
In the outgoing week, it was also reported that Azerbaijan plans to launch a platform for online sales of products manufactured by small and medium-sized businesses. Besides, an online learning platform is expected to be launched to study advanced business experience.
Moreover, the branch of the Romanian IT GRUP company in Azerbaijan is negotiating on the automation of IT infrastructure of companies and filling stations in Central Asia and Africa. Meetings were held with almost all local companies to get acquainted with their decisions.
In 2020, the revenues of global companies from online sales in the B2B segment exceeded $21 trillion, and the total revenues of global companies from retail sales through e-commerce reached $26.7 trillion.
