Azerbaijan developing domestic technology of unmanned vehicle control

Azerbaijani AzAstro startup developer plans to present the Istiqbal Mini PUA product for unmanned vehicle control to the relevant state structures, Hasan Guliyev, Founder of the AzAstro project, told Trend.

According to Guliyev, the AzAstro team is currently finalizing the software, after which it is planned to conduct test trials of the product.

“Involvement of this decision in ‘smart’ projects of Azerbaijan, including in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation, is based on the provisions of the order of the head of state on the concepts of ‘smart city’ and ‘smart village’. The applied innovations and technologies of the project fully comply with the requirements of these concepts. It can be applied in ‘smart’ management of public and other types of transport,” said the founder.

The expert noted that through this product, it will be possible to track the safety of vehicles in the agricultural sector, as well as public transport.

“Now we are finalizing our software and plan to start negotiations with the relevant government agencies to attract our product to Azerbaijan's ‘smart’ projects,” Guliyev said.

The AzAstro project has passed the incubation program at Nextstep company and is its resident.
