The main trend in the field of information technology in the world, including in Azerbaijan, is the transfer of infrastructure to ‘clouds’, Trend reports.

This week, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) stated that cyberattacks aimed at violating the confidentiality and availability of information resources are one of the most serious problems of the current period.

"To ensure the security of information systems in banks, the CBA working group has developed a draft regulatory and methodological framework (rules) in accordance with the ISO / IEC 27001 standard (information security management system). The project includes taking into account security when creating and testing information systems in banks in accordance with the requirements of the ISO / IEC 27001 standard, more effective elimination of security incidents, as well as strengthening control mechanisms to ensure information security in relations with external suppliers," the CBA added.

He also stressed that cloud technologies are becoming an effective tool for business in solving a wide variety of tasks, from analyzing large amounts of data to document exchange and automation of routine processes.

Lyamin also said that in area of the 4th industrial revolution and artificial intelligence, equipment and solutions based on these technologies require a more developed infrastructure.

Accordingly, as its cost becomes more attractive for cybercriminals, there will be a tendency for an increase in the number of attacks, including on communications infrastructure, he added.

Also this week, the representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan, Mushvig Mammadov, said that the company is aware of the challenges and difficulties faced by modern enterprises of critical infrastructure, in connection with which all tools for any level of security are presented on the Azerbaijani market.
