The average download speed for broadband mobile internet in Azerbaijan grew in October 2021, Trend reports citing Ookla.
According to Ookla, this indicator reached 15.48 Mbps, up by 6.75 percent compared to September this year, while the average download speed for mobile internet decreased by 5.7 percent in monthly terms, making up 29.61 Mbps.
Besides, in October this year, data download rates over the mobile network was 1.19 Mbps less than in the previous month.
Meanwhile, the outgoing Internet speed over the mobile network equaled 8.66 Mbps, down by 4.2 percent compared to September.
Data download speed on fixed broadband rose by 0.98 Mbps on monthly basis, and the speed of outgoing download – by 1.14 Mbps or 7.43 percent over the month in October 2021, standing at 16.48 Mbps.
The global average speed of ingoing and outgoing download via the mobile network stood at 28.61 Mbps and 56.09 Mbps, respectively.
In the 10th month of this year, Azerbaijan ranked 61st among 137 countries in terms of data download speed via mobile internet and 123th among 181 countries in terms of data transmission speed via broadband internet access, according to Ookla.
