The number of Internet users in Azerbaijan in 2021 totaled about 7.992 million, which accounted for about 78.2 percent of its entire population, Trend reports via Statcounter's Global Stats report.
As of December 31, 2021, the Azerbaijani audience of the Facebook social network totaled 4.327 million users (an increase of 3.4 percent, or 142,000 users in one year).
Meanwhile, another social network in Azerbaijan is Instagram with an audience of about 4.1 million users (an increase of 17.15 percent over the year), announces the report.
The penetration rate of the Facebook social network among web users in Azerbaijan amounted to nearly 40 percent.
The main audience of the above social networks in Azerbaijan are men (almost 62 percent), the report says.
As a reminder, the population of Azerbaijan at the end of 2021 has grown by 0.3 percentage points and amounted to 10.150.713 people.
