Azerbaijan talks cybersecurity level for early 2022

The number of requests in Azerbaijan related to computer security from January through February 2022 amounted to 865, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security - the Center for Combating Computer Incidents (CERT) of Azerbaijan told Trend.

According to CERT, 97.8 percent (846) of the requests were considered and satisfied.

In the first two months of this year, 47 reports were prepared and sent to the appropriate structures by the team for responding to computer incidents on the basis of an audit on information security, CERT noted.

Meanwhile, 12 domains and 33 sub-domains were registered in the Azerbaijani segment of the internet, added CERT.

In 2021, the number of unique cyber-incidents in the segment decreased by 20.3 percent on annual basis, to 3,977.

Besides, last year, nearly 95.6 percent of the total number of requests were considered and satisfied. Based on the information security audit carried out by the CERT, in 2021, 205 reports were prepared and sent to the relevant structures, which is 16 percent less than in 2020 (244).

At the same time, 61 domains and 144 sub-domains were registered in the Azerbaijani segment of the internet, while in 2020 these indicators amounted to 50 and 155, respectively.
