The average download speed for broadband mobile internet in Azerbaijan increased in February 2022, Trend reports citing Ookla.
According to Ookla, this indicator reached 18.87 Mbps, up by 8.45 percent compared to January 2022, while the average download speed for mobile internet decreased by 0.36 percent in monthly terms, making up 30.85 Mbps.
Besides, in February this year, data download rates over the mobile network was 0.11 Mbps less than in the previous month.
Meanwhile, the upload speed over the mobile network equaled 9.29 Mbps, down by 3.34 percent compared to January 2022.
Data download speed on fixed broadband in February this year rose by 1.47 Mbps on monthly basis, and the speed of outgoing download – by 1.56 Mbps (8.6 percent) over the month, standing at 19.71 Mbps.
In the reporting month, the global average speed of ingoing and outgoing download via the mobile network stood at 29.91 Mbps and 8.51 Mbps, respectively.
In the 2nd month of this year, Azerbaijan ranked 61st among 138 countries in terms of data download speed via mobile internet and 122th among 180 countries in terms of data transmission speed via broadband internet access, according to Ookla.
