Azercosmos announces income from satellite, telecommunications service exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Azerbaijan's Azercosmos OJSC’s total income from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $17.2 million from January through August 2022, Trend reports via Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of Azerbaijan.

Azercosmos OJSC exported satellite and telecommunication services to such countries as the UK ($4.4 million), France ($3.5 million), Luxembourg ($2.9 million), UAE ($1.6 million), and Pakistan ($957,000) from January through August 2022.

In August 2022, the satellite operator exported services worth $2.1 million to 33 countries in total.

The company owns two communication satellites – Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, as well as low-orbit Azersky satellite.

The total income of Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to $45.3 million in 2021, which was $200,000 more than in 2020.
