BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Training center for professional IT specialists will be established in Azerbaijan jointly with Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with COMSATS Executive Director Mohammad Nafees Zakaria as part of a visit to Pakistan.
At the meeting, the possibilities of long-term cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the field of communications and information technologies were discussed.
During the meeting, the implementation of a joint project with COMSATS to train professional ICT specialists in Azerbaijan was also discussed. For this aim, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan and COMSATS on cooperation in the field of training courses on ICT and technology.
It was noted that this project will make a positive contribution to the development of competitive human capital and the formation of a modern innovation environment in Azerbaijan.
The visit of Nabiyev to Pakistan began on July 18. Within the framework of the visit he held bilateral meetings with Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister for Communications Asad Mehmood, and Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari.
