BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Additional funds will be allocated from Azerbaijan's state budget for the launch of the Azеrsky-2 satellite, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Finance, funds amounting to 297.5 million manat ($175 million) will be allocated from the state budget for 2023 to increase Azerbaijan's share in the authorized capital of international investment and development funds, as well as the authorized capital of Azercosmos OJSC.
The expenditures of the revised state budget of Azerbaijan for 2023 will amount to over 36.6 billion manat ($21.5 billion), which is 9.8 percent more than the previously approved figure.
The revenues of the revised state budget of Azerbaijan for this year will amount to over 33.89 billion manat ($19.9 billion), which is 10.1 percent more than the previously approved figure.
In April 2023, the Earth remote sensing Azercosmos OJSC-owned Azersky satellite completed its mission one year earlier than the expected operational period.
The new Azerbaijani satellite will be launched into orbit approximately in 2025–2026.
