BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. World Bank (WB) experts implemented a joint project with the Information and Communication Technologies Agency titled "Mission to support the implementation of the digital economy in the South Caucasus and technical assistance for high-speed digital connectivity for inclusiveness and competitiveness", Trend reports.
The sides discussed the main directions and functional structure of the agency, as well as the knowledge of specialists and issues of their professional development.
The World Bank experts expressed their willingness to support the agency to learn from international experience on issues such as general analysis of foreign regulatory authorities, legal and institutional frameworks, organizational structure and governance, regulatory review, human resources, institutional challenges with other agencies, and financial aspects.

During his visit to China, Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transportation Rashad Nabiyev met with Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology Zhang Yunming. The sides discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of ICT and digital development.
In addition, the sides exchanged ideas on the establishment of science-intensive production facilities by Chinese companies in Azerbaijan, cooperation with China's leading universities, technology parks, incubation and acceleration centers, and the organization of joint exchange and training programs.

The Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy and the World Economic Forum prepared framework documents on a number of directions.
