BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. The average download speed for mobile and broadband internet in Azerbaijan in September 2023 stood at 44.88 Mbps (4.52 percent higher than in August) and 29.29 Mbps (a 2.06 percent rise), respectively, Trend reports.
The data from Ookla showed that Azerbaijan ranked up to 119th out of 180 countries in terms of data transmission speed in broadband network.
The mobile data download rate amounted to 13.11 Mbps in September this year, up by 17.58 Mbps, compared to the prior month, while outgoing mobile internet speed was 30.68 Mbps, a 2.4 percent increase from August (11.58 Mbps).
During this time period, the average speed of incoming and outgoing downloads through mobile network in the world were 47.82 and 10.87 Mbps, respectively, while through broadband network - 85.31 and 39.16 Mbit/s.
In May 2023, Azerbaijan ranked 59th out of 140 countries in terms of mobile data download speed and 116th out of 180 countries in terms of broadband internet data transfer speed, according to Ookla's data.
