Azerbaijan increases information and communication services

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. Azerbaijan's information and communication enterprises provided services worth 505 million manat ($296.9 million) from January through February 2024, Trend reports.

According to Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, this amount climbed by 9.4 percent from the same period in 2023, and a total of 71 percent of these services were provided to the populace.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's mobile service revenues totaled 187.5 million manat ($110.2 million), accounting for 37.1 percent of overall telecom market revenues.

Meanwhile, at the end of 2023, Azerbaijan's information and communication firms delivered services worth 3.2 billion manats ($1.8 billion), representing a 16.3 percent increase.

To note, at the end of 2022, revenues from mobile communication and information services increased by 14.8 percent (358.6 million manat ($210.8 million)) compared to 2021 and amounted to over 2.7 billion manat ($1.5 billion).
