Project on technical assistance of Azerpocht to be implemented till 2005
The project on technical assistance of Azerpocht State Postal Enterprise will be implemented till late 2005, the Communications and Information Technologies Ministry told Trend. The project envisages purchase of 7 cars for use in postal transportation within the country.
The new project will be implemented jointly with the World Postal Union (WPU).
In 1999 the WPU established special fund at expense of payments envisaged by developed countries for under-development countries to render assistance to development of international post. The fund will allocate $40,000 for implementation of the $135,000 project, while the rest part will be financed by the Ministry.
Besides, similar project was implemented jointly with the WPU in the communications of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The $30,000 project envisaged purchase of over 10 computers and 2 cars.
