The Azeri Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies announced about a necessity to put investments into IT sphere and defined three directions of investments: liberalization of IT sector, privatization of telecommunicational joint enterprises that are under the state property, creation of an independent controlling organ, Rashad Nabiyev, director of communications ministrys department on financial economical analysis, told today, Trend reports.
As distinct from Azerbaijan, there are limitations for investments in other countries because it is considered that this is a strategic sphere. According to the analysis of international organizations, the investments put into the IT sphere of the developed countries in 2005 have been decreased by $100 billion, told Nabiyev.
The situation in Azerbaijan is distinct and the necessity for investments is supported through the present infrastructure. Today 13 out of 100 families have been provided with telephone. In developed countries, this indicator consists of 95, but in the world practice 60, emphasized Nabiyev.
